Women’s Swim & Dive 200-Freestyle Relay Breaks Program Record at Patriot Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va.—The St. Bonaventure women’s swimming and diving team spent three days in Fairfax, Virginia for the Patriot Invitational. A new program record in the 200-freestyle relay highlighted the Bonnies sixth-place finish. 
 
Halle Myers, Ellie Kraus, Amy O’Rourke, and Anna Bojana Forjan opened the event on a high note, setting a new St. Bonaventure record in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:31.88. Myers, Kraus, and O’Rourke along with Allison Lenda, ’23 set the previous record last year with a time of 1:32.81. 
 
The new Bona’s best time is also the fastest in the Atlantic 10 this season. 
 
Freshman Bojana Forjan continued a successful weekend with a second-place finish in the 200-backstroke stroke and a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100-back and 200-IM. 
 
Myers found the podium in the 50-freestyle as well finishing with a time of 22.96. With that performance, she now holds the second, third, and fourth fastest times in program history. 
 
Junior Silvana Cabrera padded the Bonnies points total bringing home two second-place finishes in the 100- and 200-butterfly. Both her 100- and 200-butterfly times are the fastest in the A-10 this year. 
 
The Bonnies are back in action on Dec. 5 to take on Little Three rival Canisius in Buffalo.
